Tactile Pressure Indicating Sensor Film
Pressurexis a thin flexible mylar film that reveals pressure distribution and magnitude between any two contacting surfaces. Pressurexcontributes enormously to the R&D and QC areas within the scope of particulate flows and sprays. The film has been useful in assisting with calibration/prototyping of nozzle design and adjustment, optimization of powder coatings, testing impact of plasma and flame spraying, surface enhancement, and particle erosion and wear studies.

Example usage of PressurexFilm Capturing Impact from a Spray |
Upon the application of force the microcapsules rupture, producing an instantaneous and permanent color change. Like Litmus paper, the color intensity of Pressurexis quantifiable; the color intensity reveals precisely what pressure level (PSI or kg/cm²) was applied at any discrete point on the surface of the film.
