Sensor Products Inc: Part Time Telemarketer

The Company

Sensor Products Inc.(www.sensorprod.com) makes and sells high tech sensors that measure pressure between contacting surfaces. For example, we help mattress manufacturers measure body pressure on their mattresses so you’ll sleep soundly.  Products like ours help food packagers keep your food infection and spoilage free, and the folks who build and test the brakes on your car use pressure sensors to keep your family safe from harm.  We also educate engineers in our internationally recognized Seminars for Engineers.  (www.seminarsforengineers.com) 

The Job

We need a part-time (20 hours per week) telemarketer in our Madison, NJ office to call qualified leads about our products and services.  Among your duties:

1. Working with professionally designed sales scripts that you will “make your own,” you’ll place phone calls to pre-qualified leads to discuss our sensor products and our seminars for engineers.
2. Inform them of our product and service offerings and inquire about their needs for them.
3. When they agree, inform them that a Sales Engineer will contact them in short order.
4. Forward these leads to the appropriate department.
5. Maintain records of calls and call-related statistics, reporting them respectively to the appropriate manager.

Your Qualifications

1. A minimum of 6 months of experience in telemarketing or telephone based sales.
2. A clear and easily understood telephone voice.
3. Articulate verbal expression of English with a great vocabulary.  (You’ll frequently speak with highly educated engineers.)
4. A verifiable track record of persistence and professionalism.
5. Preference given to candidates who are pursuing or have completed a 4 year college degree.
6. Additional language fluency is a plus.
7. Able to work legally in the USA and local to the Madison, NJ area.  (Sorry, no relocation offered.)
