Software Developer (FT or PT)

We are a rapidly growing entrepreneurial engineering/high-technology company located in Madison, NJ seeking a Software Developer for an immediate opening. We are a world leader in the niche market of tactile surface sensors – sensors that measure physical contact between two objects. There exists extraordinary opportunities for the right person to grow and prosper with us. This job will expose the candidate to a myriad of industries and applications in the engineering world ranging from complex aerospace projects to medical device products.

The candidate will be responsible for writing, testing and troubleshooting all our code required to interface and drive all our various sensors. The candidate will also play an instrumental role in designing the GUI for our array of software products. All software that we produce is used in conjunction with controlling and interfacing with our sensors.  The candidate must be self motivated, independent, and be able to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications sought:

  1. 1 to 3 years of C# experience required
  2. Outstanding ability with C++, C++ builder and Visual Basic 6.  1 to 3 years of practical experience.
  3. Strong knowledge of electronics function
  4. Analog to Digital Converter knowledge
  5. Signal processing
  6. Knowledge of image processing & image analysis
  7. Familiarity with assembly language; understands USB and serial communication protocol
  8. Knowledge of drivers and communicating with auxiliary devices
  9. Some hands-on experience populating circuit boards and building electrical/mechanical components
  10. Familiarity with Labview and Pspice
  11. Undergraduate degree in CS, EE or ME is desirable but not required.

Position is contract to permanent.  Work schedule is flexible and the bulk of the work may be done in evenings or on weekends.  The candidate must be available 2 days during the week between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm at our location.
