Technical Sales Engineer

The Opportunity

We are seeking an inside technical sales engineer to sell our products and services. Our sales force forms a very cohesive group that is not only highly productive but has fun while doing it. Our firm and this position in particular, will provide for an extraordinarily interesting opportunity for the right candidate. Our sales engineers are daily in contact with scientists,,technologists, and technicians, that are involved in cutting edge R&D and production.


The Ideal Candidate

If you are the type that is forever curious about how things work, you’re technologically savvy, or build or design things as a hobby, this might be the job for you. The breadth of industries we serve will afford you exposure to every conceivable manufacturing process.


Your Qualifications

  • 1 - 4 years of sales experience and a demonstrated record of achievement.
  • Undergraduate degree in the sciences.
  • A passion for learning new products and a great curiosity about science and technology.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • 2nd language proficiency is a big plus.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail – you’ll be maintaing contact with thousands of prospects through our CRM system.
  • • Formal training or studies in the art of selling.

The Responsibilities

  • Handle a large number of simultaneous client transactions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key long-term high volume clients ensuring customer satisfaction and sufficient lifetime value for the company.
  • Manage the marketing program to efficiently maintain timely communication with your client roster.
  • Professional development. Routinely we’ll afford you the opportunity to advance your career and enhance your value to our firm by enrolling you in both group and one-on-one training seminars.   4. Although an inside sales position when the need arises we’ll send you on the road to visit clients where ever that may be. Previously sales engineers have traveled all over Europe, Asia and even India and South Africa.
  5. We like to maintain an interesting creative environment. Employees can bring their pets to work. We regularly do interesting group activities such as making wine, chocolate, artisanal paper, cheese, perfume and rolling cigars to name a few. Our dress code is very casual
  6. Finally, this position will expose you to the inner workings of a wider variety of industries than perhaps any other. So in the morning you might be working with Victoria Secret helping them study the pressure applied by their clothing and in the afternoon you’ll be working with Kraft on a new packaging line that they intend to open in Asia.
